Important info for you with a Hyundai i30 Station Wagon FD 2007-2012
Is your I30 from 2012? Then pay extra attention to whether it's the "old" or "new" one. At the end came the newer "GD" of the i30, with big changes in the boot!
The first generation of an incredibly popular car class was launched in 2007. Since then, Hyundai has excited many car owners with the concept of "a lot of car for the price".
Unfortunately, the first generation is also the variant with the worst boot space in terms of dog cages...
Keep the following in mind when choosing a dog carrier if you have a 1st generation Hyundai i30
- There's not much depth in your boot. And it doesn't take much for the top of the dog cage to hit the rear window.
- Most models that fit the 1st Gen i30 are from the more exclusive K9 Pro brand.
- If your budget doesn't allow for the more expensive K9 Pro dog cages and you have a large dog, you have 2 options:
- 1) You can choose a double dog cage - without a partition. This provides a large lying surface, but they are not as high
- 2) You can choose a dog cage that utilises the width of the boot. Then it can stand right up against the back seat, so it doesn't hit the rear window
