The boot space of the 3 variants is very different!
On this page we focus exclusively on the 2) Kia Niro Plug-in Hybrid!
There are a lot of great things about the Kia Niro. It is one of the most popular cars in its class. The Kia Niro is a big reason why the technology of combining an internal combustion engine with an electric motor has become so popular.
Unfortunately, Kia didn't consider dog cages when developing this model because the space in the boot is very limited. This is partly because the battery pack takes up some of the space in a Kia Niro Plug-in Hybrid.
In particular, you need to pay attention to:
- The depth of the boot is limited, so you can fit dog cages up to 60cm deep
- The boot is very slanted at the top of the opening, so you have less space on the sides than in the centre of the boot
- Due to the battery pack, there isn't much room in height either - if the cage is too high, it either can't get into the car or it will hit the rear window.
- The largest cage you can fit is the K9 Pro - Hercules 60 model, measuring 86x58cm
