Important info for you with a 2019 Mercedes EQC -> ?
The Mercedes EQC was one of the first luxury electric cars on the market. It's a stunningly good-looking SUV. But even though it's a tall car, the actual opening to the boot is very low. When you open the tailgate and look into the boot, you can also see that the boot opening is highest in the centre and then gets lower at the sides. This is a trend that has increased in recent years, because where you used to be able to fit dog cages that were 70cm high, the standard is now 65cm, and with your EQC we're down to around 60cm.
If you have a smaller dog, no problem, but most dog cages for larger dogs are at least 65cm high. Be aware that:
- You only have about 63cm in height in the centre of the boot
- Some of the dog crates that are 62cm, as we recommend below, hit the car headliner.
- Don't choose a dog carrier unless it's listed below.
