Important info for those with an MG ZS EV 2020 -> ?
The electric ZS from MV is a smaller car class, so the choice of dog cages is naturally not as wide as in the larger crossovers. Fortunately, dog cage manufacturers have developed many new sizes in recent years, so it's now possible to find a dog cage for cars in this class. This was unthinkable just a few years ago.
You should pay particular attention to the design of the boot. The opening to the boot itself is not that high. In addition, you have a high loading edge, so you need to choose a dog cage with steps where the ears of the cage are raised so that it can open over the edge.
- There is room for about 83-83cm in width (depending on the model and brand of cage)
- The car boot has more depth in the centre than on the sides because the boot curves slightly on the inside.
- On some dog carriers from the ELITE series (those with a depth of 62cm) it is necessary to lift the door about 2cm. It's super easy - just loosen the hinges and pull the door upwards.
- Do NOT choose dog cages that are 65cm in depth. We've tested and unfortunately they won't fit
